Six months after the events of THE CIPHER CRUSADE: BEYOND GOOD AND EVIL, the world has become a much different place.  Magic, creatures of myth and lore, and the supernatural are no longer concepts of pseudo-science.  Now there are two sides to our world: Humanity and Monsters. Humanity fears the Monsters and isn't sure how to react to this sudden and drastic change.  The Monsters fear the Humans and want to keep away to avoid conflict at all costs.  But this fine line of 'peace' can be snapped by dark forces at any moment and the team of heroes known as the Crusaders will be needed more than ever when an old adversary unites common enemies in an international quest for a forbidden power...
